BlizzCon Interview Room UI
A tool for interview check-in and real-time status updates
During BlizzCon, the annual fan event thrown by the gaming giant Blizzard, hundreds of interviews take place over the course of several days. Executives, developers, and special guests meet with hundreds of media outlets in special interview rooms. In each room, an interactive display lets the PR handler communicate the status of the interview back to a central command via single-touch actions. I was the lead designer on this product and worked with an associate visual designer to produce the final look.
Each room was powered by a Microsoft Surface tablet and locked to this screen. In addition to the check-in/check-out functions, the Room UI was also designed to display a warning to the handler as an interview approached or went over its scheduled time. The display would advance to the next scheduled interview automatically or via updates from central command.
